Who we are
Universal Insights Research Group LLC ("ResearchDart", "we") operates researchdart.com and the ResearchDart routing platform. For privacy questions or requests, contact [email protected].
Survey participants
When a panel, app or community (a "supplier") sends you to a survey through ResearchDart, we act on behalf of that supplier and the research buyer to route your session. We process:
- the participant ID the supplier assigned to you, which does not tell us your name or contact details;
- a session reference we create for the visit;
- the time you started and finished and the outcome of the session;
- your IP address, and a one-way hash of your IP address, browser user agent and language settings, used to detect duplicate participation;
- the country associated with your connection, where our hosting provider supplies it;
- when the study uses pre-survey screening, device, browser, network and interaction signals collected by our fraud screening provider's script on the page shown before the survey, together with the provider's risk decision.
Pre-survey screening is provided by Verisoul, acting as our processor. It receives a one-way hash of your panel participant ID rather than the ID itself, and does not receive your name, contact details or survey answers.
We do not receive your survey answers. Those are collected by the research team's survey platform under their own privacy notice.
We use this information to send you to the right survey, prevent duplicate or fraudulent participation, return you to your supplier, tell the supplier and buyer how the session ended so rewards and invoices can be reconciled, and keep our service secure. The legal basis is the legitimate interests of the supplier, the buyer and ResearchDart in running reliable research and preventing fraud, and, where your supplier relies on it, the consent you gave them.
IP addresses and device hashes are removed from session records after 90 days. The remaining session record, which contains no direct identifiers, is kept while it is needed for billing, reconciliation and legal obligations.
For questions about rewards or your panel account, contact the supplier that invited you; only they can identify you.
Business contacts and partners
If you contact us, request an account or work for a buyer or supplier, we process your name, work email, company, messages and account activity to respond, provide the service, secure accounts and manage the business relationship. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before a contract, performing the contract, and our legitimate interests. Enquiries are kept for up to two years after our last contact unless a contract requires longer.
Website visitors
Our web server logs technical request data such as IP address, time and requested page to operate and secure the site.
On the public pages we use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are read. It runs only after you accept it on the cookie banner, so the legal basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by clearing this site's data. Google Ireland Limited acts as our processor; advertising features are switched off, and Google Analytics 4 does not store IP addresses. Analytics does not run on survey links under /s/ or in the operations console. Full details are in our cookie policy.
Sharing
We share session outcomes with the supplier and buyer involved in that session. We use service providers for hosting, email, backups and fraud screening, bound by contract to process data only on our instructions. We disclose data where the law requires it. We do not sell personal data.
International transfers
Suppliers and buyers can be located in different countries. Where personal data leaves the UK or European Economic Area, we rely on adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, object to or restrict its use, or receive a copy. Send requests to [email protected]. If you were a survey participant, include the reference shown on your outcome page so we can find the session. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Security
Links are signed, secrets and keys are encrypted or hashed at rest, and access to session data is limited to authorised staff.
Changes
We will update the date at the top of this page when this policy changes.
